Genre

Fantasy

Description

Some heroes are fated to save the world. Others are meant to destroy it…

Olive Kennedy is all about positive thinking. She’s been stuck on Earth for the past four months, waiting for the spring equinox to arrive so she can return to Fairy World — but she’s staying positive. She’s hopeful she’ll once again see her handsome Viking fiancé who’s waiting for her. She’s optimistic that her mission to reclaim the sword of Dracon — a sword of King Arthur fame and the only weapon capable of killing Theht — won’t result in death and destruction. And then there’s the small matter of an asteroid that’s been ripped out of its orbit and is hurtling toward Earth…no biggie.

One last thing — she’s fated to destroy the world. To stop that prophecy from being fulfilled, she may have to sacrifice the one person she loves the most.

Good thing she’s staying positive.

Review

It seems like each book in the Fairy World MD series gets better and better. I can not get enough of this series. Every book Tamara Grantham writes is full of magic, adventure, and the fight for happiness. Deathbringer is probably the most emotional book in the series, so far, and my favorite. I could not get enough of this story and I wish I could get my hands on the next book now.

I voluntarily received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Quotes

“This is a typical thing in our lives, you know, putting up with crap so we can save everyone else.”

“Lightning shot through my body, all the way down to my toes. I couldn’t get enough of him. The feeling was so insistent that pushing him away was impossible.”

“I knew we were meant to be married here. It felt right, and I had no other way of describing the feeling except that I’d never been more certain of anything in my life.”

“I love you. It means you are my life. I love you. It means you are my everything. I love you. Without you, I am nothing. You are my forever.”
